Pathfinder Media Group is seeking a motivated Junior Developer Intern to actively contribute to the development and optimization of digital products, including websites, web applications, and internal tools. This position offers hands-on experience in software development, allowing interns to apply their technical skills in a real-world setting. Interns will collaborate with a dynamic team to build functional, efficient, and visually appealing digital solutions, gaining exposure to both front-end and back-end development.

This internship provides an excellent opportunity to learn industry best practices in UI/UX design, data management, security, and performance optimization. Additionally, interns will gain insight into how software development integrates with digital media, marketing, and business objectives, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of modern web technologies.

Responsibilities:

· Assist in the development and maintenance of websites, web applications, and internal tools.

· Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry standards.

· Collaborate with designers, senior developers, and project managers to refine project requirements and implement solutions.

· Debug and troubleshoot software issues, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.

· Participate in code reviews huddles and contribute to the improvement of development workflows.

· Learn and apply security best practices, including authentication and data protection.

· Research and recommend new tools, frameworks, or practices to enhance development efficiency.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

· Programming Proficiency: Strong foundation in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for front-end development.

· Framework Knowledge: Familiarity with React, Vue.js, or similar modern JavaScript frameworks.

· Back-End Development Basics: Understanding of APIs, RESTful services, and basic server-side scripting.

· Database Management: Experience with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB, Firebase) databases.

· Version Control: Familiarity with Git/GitHub for code collaboration and management.

· Debugging & Troubleshooting: Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve software issues efficiently.

· UI/UX Understanding: Awareness of responsive design, accessibility, and user experience principles.

· Security Awareness: Basic knowledge of web security best practices, including authentication and data protection.

· Collaboration & Communication: Strong ability to work in a team, communicate ideas clearly, and document work properly.

· Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to approach challenges logically and find innovative solutions.
