Subvrsive Internship Program Summer 2025
Subvrsive is an immersive innovation studio at the forefront of emerging technologies, such as Mixed Reality (MR), Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and more. Founded in 2015, the Austin-based studio has rapidly evolved into a trusted partner for leading global brands and agencies, delivering cutting-edge solutions that drive engagement, innovation, and measurable results.
Subvrsive is looking for 4-5 student interns to form a cohort for summer 2025. Our internship program will run for 10 weeks spanning mid June to August. The internship program has flexible hours, but you should anticipate participating 20-25 hours per week. Compensation will be provided in the form of a weekly stipend.
The intern team will collaborate closely with Creative (Visual Design, UI/UX, Art Direction), Marketing, Client Partners (Account Managers), Production (Producers, Project Managers, Product Managers), and Technology/Engineering (Web and XR Developers) departments to integrate academic theory and business practice while gaining hands-on experience in a professional setting. Each intern will be paired with a department lead so that they can get an inside look into our business while working as a team to solve a business problem.
The ideal candidate is currently a senior university student who is interested in working for an innovation studio that specializes in all things immersive. You should possess a passion for emerging technologies and be ready to utilize your creativity to solve real world problems for our business.
Internship Highlights
- Each intern will be placed with one of our department leads: creative, marketing, client relations, production, and engineering.
- You will collaborate on a team of 4-5 to solve a business problem for one of our clients/our company. Past projects include building Subvrsive themed worlds in Roblox & Spatial.io.
- You will be responsible for research, business analysis, project management, and possible creation of a prototype or mockup.
- Skills you will flex during your internship: creativity, problem solving, teamwork, and communication.
- At the end of the internship, the cohort will present their findings to the Subvrsive team.
- If your university allows, this internship might qualify for academic credit. Please check with your university on specific requirements.
Ideal Candidate
- Current University/College student pursuing a bachelor or masters degree entering your junior or senior year.
- Majoring in any of these fields (or similar): Communication, Advertising, Marketing, Visual Arts, Design, Computer Science, Game Development, Business.
- Interest in the metaverse, AR/VR, social media, and interactive customer experiences.
