Safety Intern

ABOUT THE POSITION: 

The intern will work with the Safety Team on current and new projects on safety excellence, including: 

  • Modernizing our Safety Data Sheet (SDS) database
  • Recertifying our workforce on first aid and CPR
  • Create other programs for the benefit of our employees
  • Support additional initiatives as needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College/university student
  • Basic knowledge of spreadsheet software (e.g. Microsoft Excel) 
  • Ability to work with people in multiple departments with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable speaking with all employees

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Interested in a career in industrial safety
  • Pursuing a degree related to industrial safety

ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM: 

Our paid internship program starts between June 2, 2025, and June 16, 2025, and offers an adaptable 8–10-week experience, based on intern availability. The Engineering Intern will report to the office 3-5 times per week and work from home 0-2 times per week. World’s Finest Chocolate will provide the necessary technological equipment. 

In addition to gaining meaningful work experience, participants will receive support and guidance to advance their professional growth through weekly check-ins with their manager, weekly learning sessions with HR, and mentorship from a company leader, as well as other opportunities designed to foster their development.

Compensation: The salary range for this role is as follows: 

  • Completion of Junior Year — $20.00/Hr.
  • Completion of Sophomore Year —  $19.00/Hr.
  • Completion of Freshman Year — $18.00/Hr.
  • Completion of High School (if meeting qualifications of internship) — $16.00/Hr.
