Digital Account Executive
Summary:
MediaNews Group is searching for an energetic and results-oriented Digital Account Executive (sales hunter) to join our amazing PA sales team. You will have the opportunity to sell digital advertising and digital marketing services for the PA Cluster of Media News Group. The position will work independently to increase the digital revenue base by developing new business.
*Please note - this is a remote role but you must reside in the state of Pennsylvania, specifically within Montgomery or Bucks County*
What you will do:
Develop and execute prospecting strategies to uncover new business opportunities
Develop and maintain a personal book of digital business, complete with monthly and quarterly revenue goals
Accurately develop forecasts and manage pipelines
Work independently to retain and upsell newly developed business through consistent campaign performance management
Stay abreast of emerging trends in digital products, technology, measurement and analytics
Identify the current needs of client base and communicate the benefits of our audience based marketing solutions as they relate to each need and then sell the appropriate campaign
Navigate prospective clients through objections/concerns regarding costs, budgets and selling strategies
Weekly Reporting on account activity, pipeline and revenue around Key Categories
Understand client business goals and provide strategic advice on digital marketing solution, present and explain the benefits of our digital products to clients
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, systems, communications or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of three years of sales experience or experience in an advertising division
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team; position requires high level of professional communication ability
Must have ability to research problems and provide solutions; also requires an understanding of the Company’s digital products and as it relates to customers, prospects, and key trends
Have an understanding of how to grow and maintain market share
Demonstrated record of success in a goal-oriented, highly accountable environment; in building customer-based revenue and in delivering customer solutions based on identified needs
Effectively manage time as it relates to focus on sales related activities
Strong Microsoft Office skills (MS Word and PowerPoint) spelling and grammar skills and including Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
The hourly wage is $19.23 ($40,000) + commission and mileage reimbursement (On-target earning potential $80,000 to $90,000) . Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, MediaNews Group offers a comprehensive benefits package, and 401K plan (all benefits are based on eligibility).
