Oakstone Academy School seeks a licensed 7-12 Mathematics or Integrated Mathematics teacher for the 2025-26 school year. This is a full-time contract teaching position encompassing a 185-day instruction schedule. The Children’s Center for Developmental Enrichment/Oakstone Academy School is a private, chartered, not-for-profit school in Westerville, Ohio, northeast of Columbus. It currently serves typically developing and special-needs students from pre-kindergarten through high school. Our special-needs students primarily have Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Certification/License:

  • Valid Ohio 7-12 Mathematics or Integrated Mathematics Teaching License
  • Valid Ohio 4-9 Mathematics

Job Description and Requirements:

  • Utilize technology to maximize instruction and learning, particularly on the Google Platform
  • Apply classroom content and lessons to real-world situations.
  • Design lessons that provide opportunities for problem-solving, creativity, and communication skills concerning authentic, real-world problems for a diverse population of learners 
  • The ability to work individually and within a team-teaching environment includes an Intervention Specialist and Speech and Occupational therapists.
  • Monitors and evaluates students’ progress concerning school curriculum policies and other planned goals and objectives.
  • Establish and maintain standards for behavior that foster student self-discipline and positive relationships among students.
  • Encourage, secure, and maintain the involvement of parents and other community members in support of instruction and student performance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 7-12 Mathematics or Integrated Mathematics License
  • 4-9 Mathematics License
  • Experience in Educational Technology
  • Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills
