POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Quality Assurance (QA) Internship at Nomo SmartCare will play a key role in supporting the QA department’s efforts to ensure the highest quality of hardware, firmware, and application software for our products during the summer. As an intern, you will be responsible for testing and verifying the functionality of the Nomo system. You will collaborate with team members to identify and resolve bugs and help ensure our products deliver the best possible experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily testing of Nomo hardware, firmware, and application software.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and report bugs or inconsistencies.
  • Write and manage Jira tickets for identified issues or tasks.
  • Participate in daily and weekly team meetings to review progress and troubleshoot issues.
  • Ensure product quality and functionality align with design specifications and customer expectations.

Performance Criteria

  • Demonstrate punctuality and reliability by attending work regularly and on time.
  • Accomplish daily tasks and responsibilities within the set timeframe.
  • Show a clear understanding of the product (hardware, firmware, application) and the testing process.
  • Actively engage in learning, developing, and understanding how various components of the product interact.
  • Communicate issues and findings effectively through detailed tickets and team updates.

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Recent graduates or students with relevant coursework in software testing, product development, or quality assurance are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to test and compare product features to design specifications
  • Ability to document issues clearly and concisely.
  • A technical background is helpful but not required.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, project management skills, and any experience in QA or software testing is a bonus but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
