We are a close group looking for a dynamic team player who can bring the necessary skill set to provide creativity, and a willingness to learn while managing event details. In addition, and not limited to this, we are looking for someone who can tell stories from digital images to written updates and summaries of events, as well as be a collaborative member of the Bishop’s staff.

In collaboration with the Evangelization & Catechesis staff and the Bishop, the Event Coordinator helps create a memorable and spiritual experience for attendees and their families that inspires them to come year after year.
Additional Qualifications include:
- A practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
- 2+ years’ of experience as event planner, project manager, parish program management or equivalent.
- Enthusiastic to share the message of Jesus with people of all ages.
- Excellent written, verbal, public speaking, and presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills.
- Competent computer skills: Google Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Social Media.
- Comfortable using a digital camera and other digital technologies/devices.
- Willing to engage with photo and video editing and cataloguing software.
- Imaginative and able to create posters, backdrops, digital displays, and flyers for future camps, retreats, conferences, and events.
- Independent and able to start and complete tasks without supervision.
- Flexible, willing to share ideas, and work as part of a collaborative team.
- Comfortable working with people of all ages.
- Positive attitude and an openness to new ideas.
- Able to work weekends and evenings, as needed for events.
- Additional emphasis will be given to those who also possess the following:

Key Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Diocesan Director of Family & Young Adult Discipleship:
- Assist in coordinating multiple events per year for youth, families, and adults.
- Collaborate with staff to understand event objectives, budget, and vision.
- Develop comprehensive event plans, including timelines and resource requirements.
- Assist with event marketing and communication, including updating webpages.
- Assist with implementing events.
- Collaborate with staff and volunteer teams to oversee all logistical aspects of events, including scheduling, food and hospitality, setup, and teardown.
- Assist with maintaining attendance lists, creating name tags, gathering event supplies, and crafting materials for attendees.
- Act as a principal photographer/media person for each event.
- Capture photos during the event.
- Collect interviews and comments from attendees.
- Curate top photos for each event.
- Maintain a digital library of all selected photos/videos/interviews.
- Events with youth: create a daily synopsis of events to be emailed to parents.
- Assist in writing a recap of each event for publication.
- Edit/enhance top photos for each event to be included with the recap and future advertisement, and diocesan publications.
- Establish and maintain a digital library.
- Incorporate archived photos as time allows.
