Technical Writer/Branding Internship

Job Title: Technical Writer/Branding Internship – Tampa, FL

Overview:

SkyBridge Tactical is seeking a motivated Technical Writer/Branding Intern with a strong interest in proposal writing for government contracts. This internship offers hands-on experience in developing, editing, and organizing proposal content to support federal contracting efforts. The ideal candidate will work closely with our business development and proposal teams to produce high-quality, compliant, and persuasive proposal materials.

Responsibilities:

The Technical Writer/Branding Intern’s Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist in writing, editing, and formatting technical proposals, past performance narratives, and capability statements for government contracts.
• Research and analyze government solicitations (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs) to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather technical and operational information for proposal development.
• Maintain and update proposal templates, boilerplate content, and past performance libraries.
• Review and proofread documents for clarity, grammar, and adherence to government standards.
• Support the proposal development lifecycle, including compliance checks, formatting, and final submission preparation.
• Develop and refine branding materials, including brochures, presentations, and website content, to align with the company’s voice and identity.
• Support branding initiatives by drafting content for social media, blogs, and internal communications.
• Collaborate with designers to create visually appealing materials that enhance the company’s branding strategy.

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Journalism, English, Business, Political Science, or a related field.
• Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to understand and interpret complex government contract requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with proposal management tools (e.g., SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat).
• Strong research skills and ability to synthesize information into clear, concise documents.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior Experience with Government Contracting
