Marketing Intern - Your Big Break in the World of Creativity and Community Involvement!

About Us: We are a member-focused credit union with a long history here in the Quad Cities. Our teams are dedicated to providing exceptional service and fostering financial well-being for our community.

This role is located at our beautiful headquarters on River Drive in Moline, IL. This facility includes a comfortable office environment with an on-site gym facility.

 

What You'll Do: As our Marketing Intern, you'll get hands-on experience and contribute to projects that matter. You'll:

  • Support events, promotions, and community outreach efforts.
  • Assist with support for our branch locations.
  • Assist with our Member Advantage programs.
  • Provide valuable support and insight to our social media and digital marketing efforts.
  • Collaborate with our creative team on brainstorming and strategy sessions.
  • Bring fresh ideas and a unique perspective to the table.

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Current enrollment in college with a marketing major with at least one year completed.
  • 10 hours per week during the school year and 30 hours per week during breaks, including the summer.
  • An excitement for marketing and community events.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and emerging trends.
  • An ability to think outside the box and a willingness to learn.
  • A proactive attitude and readiness to embrace challenges.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint or equivalent tool set.
  • Ability to organize events and projects, prioritize workflow, and complete multiple tasks simultaneously, accurately and within a specified amount of time.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with members, co-workers, and the general public.
  • Must present a professional, business-like manner and appearance.
  • Valid driver's license required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
  • Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
  • Sitting: Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and making fine discriminations in sound.
  • Finger, handle, touch: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm. Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
  • Lifting Demands: Up to 50 lbs.
  • Visual Demands: Visual acuity to do things such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Ability to identify and distinguish colors. The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
