Marketing & Communications Intern

Title: Marketing & Communications Intern

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Duration: May 1 to August 15, 2025 

Location: Hybrid; must be able to be in office 2-3 days per week in Raleigh, NC

Hours: Monday – Friday; 8:45am-4:45pm

Do you have a passion for communication and helping people learn? Would you like to work full-time in a hybrid work environment and get valuable experience in marketing and social media outreach? 

Vital Communication is a leadership and communication skills training firm based in Raleigh, NC. We create innovative learning solutions for our clients. We are looking for a summer intern to help us create engaging marketing materials, grow our social media presence, and generate leads. We are a small, growing company. We are agile, and we work at a fast pace. This experience will allow you to apply what you’ve been learning in school, and have fun doing it! 

Responsibilities 

  • Create and distribute marketing materials to increase Vital Communication’s digital presence
  • Work across multiple outreach channels such as LinkedIn, email, and the company website to create marketing content such as blog articles, video scripts and outreach emails
  • Design captivating graphics using Canva
  • Assist in the management of the company’s LinkedIn account 
  • Use data to grow high-quality followers and build engagement across social channels
  • Track marketing data in LinkedIn, HubSpot, and SharePoint
  • Research the latest trends in the leadership and organizational development industries
  • Update Vital Communication’s editorial calendar
  • Maintain an organized internal marketing database
  • Additional administrative duties as needed

Requirements 

  • You must be actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Marketing, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Communications, English, Journalism, or a similar field. You must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher to be considered. Recent graduates may also apply.
  • Superior graphic design skills; experience using Canva is required
  • Experience with LinkedIn preferred
  • Experience with HubSpot preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A team orientation and ability to accept critique from company leadership
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and solve problems under pressure
  • Conceptual creative thinking is a must! 

 

Compensation and Benefits
