Behavior Technician

BT Position Summary:

The Behavior Technician (BT) will use evidence-based protocols and positive reinforcement to teach or increase language and communication skills, promote play and social skills, encourage daily living activities, and develop pre-academic skills in the home, community, and/or school setting. You will directly contribute to our client's success stories by providing them with the necessary skills to be successful!

RBT Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Implement one on one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) intervention programs to children in a home, school or other environments as needed
  • Observe and collect data on the child's behavior
  • Teach child the specific behavior skills called for in the treatment plan
  • Attend regular supervisory meetings with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Maintain clear lines of communication and professional boundaries

 

RBT Requirements:

  • Patience
  • Ability to interact well with active children
  • Ability to work cooperatively as a therapy team member, and work independently
  • Availability to work a minimum of 10 hours per week
  • Abide by the RBT ethics code
  • Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Clean background and positive references
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs, run, kneel, stand, play and more
  • Will have to be certified as an RBT by 90 days of employment

 

Pay Range:

$19.50/hour until you are a certified RBT, then $20.50/hour.
