Media Specialist

The Media Specialist plays a vital role in documenting the camp experience and ensuring that campers, parents, and the broader community are engaged with camp content. This position is responsible for capturing, editing, and posting photos and videos of daily camp activities across multiple platforms. The Media Specialist will also manage a cabin of campers, fostering a supportive and positive environment during the camp experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Photo and Video Documentation: Capture and document daily camp activities, ensuring to highlight the unique moments and experiences of campers.

Social Media Management: Create and post engaging social media content (photos, videos, updates) multiple times a day to showcase camp life and keep parents and followers updated.

Video Editing: Edit weekly camp videos to create an exciting recap of the week's events for sharing on social media and internal use.

Uploading Content: Upload daily camp videos and photos to the camp’s social media accounts to engage with the community.

Weekly Photo Dump: Curate and upload a weekly “photo dump” with high-quality images for parents to access, ensuring that all moments are captured and made available to the camp families.

Cabin Supervision: Supervise and manage a cabin of campers, ensuring their safety, well-being, and engagement in camp activities. Foster a positive, fun, and inclusive environment within the cabin.

Qualifications:

Strong knowledge and experience with photo and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Lightroom, etc.)

Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) and content creation.

Prior experience in a camp or educational setting is preferred.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Creativity and a keen eye for detail in capturing and producing high-quality content.

Comfortable working with children in a camp environment.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time, seasonal position during the camp season.

Must be able to work outdoors and handle various weather conditions.
