Position Summary: We seek a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our Marketing team as a summer intern with the prospect of extending the internship opportunity longer. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across various departments within our organization, providing a comprehensive understanding of our marketing and sales practices. Intern will receive mentorship and training from experienced professionals, enhancing their skills and knowledge.

 

Objectives of this Role:

 

  • Provide support for in-person customer events.
  • Contribute fresh ideas that can enhance the brand’s standing (i.e. social media, email marketing campaigns.
  • Provide hands-on assistance to the marketing manager in all things marketing.
  • Provide hands-on assistance with the Sales Support Coordinator for all things related to tradeshows dealer meetings.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Start June 9th – June 27th  Work directly with Marketing Manager

  • Provide general administrative assistance and support in daily marketing tasks and requests.
  • Create a new version of Northpoint Branded PowerPoint presentation template to be used by sales for external presentations. 
  • Assist Marketing Manager with planning of the major customer appreciation event that takes place the week of August 21st – 24th. Assist in all aspects of the customer appreciation event (i.e. invitations, corresponding with invitees, hotel reservations, car transportations, reimbursement to customers for their airfare, individual itineraries, dinner reservations, and giveaways provided. 
  • Research new giveaway ideas and gifts for tradeshows (for all industries we serve) and Top Dealer gifts.
  • Help maintain the Marketing Request Mailbox with inbound requests from vendors, partners, customers, and clients
  • Support Marketing Manager in planning, developing, and executing marketing initiatives
  • Complete projects related to branding, content creation, and social media marketing
  • Help manage and update social media account (LinkedIn), including content scheduling and engagement.

June 30th – August 1st: While continuing to assist in Marketing tasks, train with Sales Support Coordinator on Tradeshow and Dealer Meeting Initiatives

  • Assist Sales Admin with coordinating Northpoint’s presence at annual trade shows and dealer meetings (all industries).
  • Assist Sales Admin with coordinating all vendors and services needed for trade show booth.
  • Assist Sales Admin with scheduling and managing the registration process, assist with travel arrangements for attendees and ensure timely delivery and setup of booths and/or tables.
  • Assist Sales Admin with organizing and storing contracts for tradeshows, meetings, and special events.
  • Assist Sales Admin with managing and maintaining display materials, display paperwork, and brochures.
    • Assist Sales Admin with managing and maintaining multiple spreadsheets of inventory, show calendar, shipments, etc.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), Canva, and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp).
  • Demonstrated interest in current marketing trends and techniques.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate program.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Curious, fast-learning, and resourceful
  • Organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Sense of teamwork and the ability to execute programs
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and hardworking

 

Education:

Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate program.
