Assistant to the Director for Development and Operations
The Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) is looking for a skilled Assistant to the Director for Development and Operations with a passion for privacy, technology policy, and civil liberties to support the Executive Director, assist with EPIC’s development and grant writing work, and serve as a liaison to the Board of Directors and to EPIC’s Members and supporters.
The Assistant will manage the office of the Executive Director and provide support to coordinate internal and external meetings and events, guide follow-up correspondence and task execution, and manage the Executive Director’s calendar. This position offers a significant opportunity to build on grant writing skills as well as the management of received project grants. The Assistant may also be called upon to lead special projects, material creation, support communications outputs, and other duties depending on skills and interest. The Assistant will also manage intake, tracking, and correspondence related to donations, grants, and other fundraising activities. EPIC is a dynamic workplace, and the Assistant will also work with EPIC leadership and other staff members on organizational operations and planning.
The Assistant will also manage correspondence with the Board of Directors, Members of EPIC’s Advisory Board, and EPIC’s supporters. The Assistant will be the primary point-of-contact for EPIC’s leadership team and will communicate organizational updates and facilitate input from the Board on a regular and as-needed basis. The Assistant will act as primary staff support for Board of Directors and Committee meetings and will be responsible for compiling reports, preparing agendas, planning logistics, distributing materials, and other necessary support for these meetings.

This position requires close attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Start date: September 2025
The EPIC Assistant will receive an annual salary of $55,000. EPIC provides all employees with a comprehensive benefits package.
