About the Foundation for Economic Education

About FEE’s Development Team:

The Development (Devo) department is responsible for identifying and securing funding and resources to support FEE’s mission. On the donor relations side, Devo curates and manages the FEE donor experience, prioritizing relationship-building and consistent engagement to research, cultivate, acquire, and steward supporters. On the development operations side, Devo provides the critical infrastructure that powers our fundraising success. From preparing grant proposals and reports to managing and executing development communications projects to processing gifts and tracking obligations, this side of Devo ensures accuracy, efficiency, and strategic insight—allowing FEE to build donor trust, demonstrate impact, and sustain long-term financial health.

Development Intern - This role is open to in person (Atlanta, GA) or remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other FEE departments to compile data and information for use in development deliverables, including communications projects, proposals, and reports.
  • Track programming teams’ progress against donor obligations and provide updates to the Development team.
  • Research, prepare, and present prospective donor profiles to donor relations staff.
  • Ensure data integrity in Salesforce and assist with cleanup efforts.
  • Assist with digital file management and organization.

Skills

  • Economics, Business, Nonprofit Management or related majors desired, but not required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to efficiently prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.) and willingness to learn new software and tools.
  • Independent and team-oriented, demonstrating a proactive and positive approach to work.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a creative and resourceful mindset.
