
Instructional Designer
Job Summary
Work directly and closely with Program Director and Prevention Specialist Coordinator in refining the Prevention Programs, Building Uplifting Relationships, Jobs Work Program, and Nurturing Fathers Program/Pathways to Manhood to support improved implementation of the services in the community setting. You will work closely with the Program Director and Prevention Specialist Coordinator to identify and develop new prevention and development focused programs to support the Fathers and Families Coalition of Utah (FFCU) mission and vision to teach and foster responsibility, healthy relationships, values, fathering without fear, violence prevention, decision-making, goal setting, and more for the participants of our youth and adult programs.
Essential Job Functions
- Refine existing instructor-led training and blended learning solutions for live and virtual delivery.
- Design and build instructor-led training and blended learning solutions for live and virtual delivery.
- Create engaging learning experiences that meet the highest of standards.
- Understand and incorporate best practices, including adolescent and adult-learning methodologies.
- Work collaboratively and build strong professional relationships with subject matter experts, clients, and key stakeholders.
- Build needs assessments and analyze the data to create training content that aligns with desired outcomes.
- Write and edit learning objectives and supporting content for varied target audiences.
- Monitor the effectiveness of training programs.
- Approach instructional design and formatting with creativity, care and attention to detail.
- Partner with and work under the direction of Program Director and Prevention Specialist Coordinator.
- Shift priorities with resiliency and flexibility.
Qualifications
- Minimum of sophomore to junior level in an accredited Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Communications, Education, or a related field of study
- Experience in e-learning, instructional design, technical writing or related position
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to manage projects, deadlines and competing priorities effectively
- Fierce commitment to the highest levels of customer service to client organizations
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Excellent interpersonal-relations and communication skills
- Successful track record in completing multiple projects and managing multiple priorities
- Individual initiative and strategic awareness
- Hard working and self-directed
- Able to work in a team environment
- Ability to respond to feedback and be highly accountable for results
- Graphic design skills, preferred
Hours
- 12-16 hours per week.
