Job Summary

The candidate might be considered for one of the following roles:
- This position is primarily responsible for preparing periodic BDD reports and LAB reports; preparing funding requests and cash flow projections; conducting post-lending monitoring activities; preparing consumer and regulatory compliance related reports; providing supporting data requested by internal & external auditors or examiners; handling various business administrative tasks; and performing any other duties as assigned by supervisors or the Branch Management.
- This position is responsible for assisting in performing independent quality control and risk assessment of daily operations and business transactions of the Branch; delivering a range of support in the areas of fraud prevention, risk mitigation and quality control; assist in preparing relevant risk management and quality control reports and/or quality assurance reports as required, and performing any other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or Branch Management.
Job Responsibilities
The Associate may be assigned to one or more of the functions below:
Quality Assurance Testing and Risk Monitoring and Control
- Assist in completing periodic and ad hoc credit, operational, and compliance risk assessment and reporting tasks
- Assist in periodic post-lending monitoring assessment for Business Development Department (BDD) and test samples from its commercial and trade finance credit facilities
- Review the loan documents and ticklers to assess the quality of post-lending monitoring practice
- Provide the results in order to propose and implement ongoing improvements and identify relevant remedial actions
- Document and follow up with issue(s) for both reporting and problem-solving purpose
- Assist in performing the Enterprise Risk Assessment (ERA) for the BDD with respect to Credit Risk and Interest Rate Risk
- Strictly adhere to the Bank’s policies and guidelines, including risk parameters, risk assessment and monitoring procedures, and reporting mechanism
- Assist in performing the review of CRE Loan Ongoing Monitoring and Loan Data and coordinate with CRM of New York Branch
- Assist in ongoing monitoring of Criticized and Watch List Loan(s) and coordinate with CRM of New York Branch
- Assist in validating the Key risk indicators (KRI) data and supporting documents in the KRI platform
- Assist in performing the Operational Risk and Control Self-assessment (RCSA) and coordinate with ORD of New York Branch
- Assist in designing the attributes for BDD in order to capture the risk and also ensure that the set policies, procedures and regulatory requirements are met and complied
- Assist in coordination of audit activities; assist in response to Examiner’s, Internal and External Auditors’ inquiries; take corrective actions based on audit findings
- Coordinate with related Departments (CRM, CBD, ORD, LCD, OSD etc.) of New York Branch on various risk assessment and reporting assignments
- Provide constructive feedbacks on the Bank’s policies and procedures
- Perform any other duties, as well as credit risk and operational risk management projects as assigned by supervisor and/or Branch Management
Manage Loan Data and Prepare Reports
- Collect, review and integrate a variety of credit and compliance data provided by business department on a monthly basis
- Prepare various periodic business reports, including but not limited to loan commitment and outstanding reports, BDD core business report, marketing reports, loan portfolio report, and desk performance report
- Coordinate with related Departments of New York Branch on various reporting assignments, such as implementation status of bank-wide key initiatives, ESG reports, etc.
Process Funding Requests and Cash Flow Projections
- Review and process clients’ funding notices
- Manage loan funding data; Process daily funding requests
- Prepare funding related reports, such as daily/monthly cash flow projection, and monitor borrowers’ funding utilization status
Post-lending Monitoring
- Collect and review borrowers’ SEC filing, such as 10Q and 10K, compliance certificate, periodic account review, and other required documentation
- Monitor clients’ compliance performance with key metrics, including financial covenants, due dates of documentation and negative news
Compliance and Risk Management
- Collect, monitor and manage a variety of customer documentation, such as compliance files, approval files, post-lending monitoring files, and customer data, including funding utilization, key financial metrics and risk rating
- Retrieve and incorporate client data as requested by QCU, auditors or examiners to ensure compliance in all aspects of the Bank's policies and regulatory requirements; take corrective actions in response to audit findings
- Performing any other duties as assigned by supervisors or the Branch Management, and backing up other team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with major in Business Administration or Finance, Accounting, Economics or other related disciplines at the time of hiring is required; a master degree or above is preferred
- Internship experiences in Commercial Lending and Credit Risk Management preferred
- Bilingual ability in English and Chinese preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
