Intern, Training Curriculum Development

General Description:

 

The KION Group - encompassing the seven brands of Linde, STILL, Fenwick, OM STILL, Baoli, Voltas and Dematic - is a global leader in material handling. Located in Summerville, SC, KION North America Corporation (KNA) is the responsible entity for serving the markets of USA, Canada and Mexico. We are seeking a motivated and creative intern to assist in the development of training curriculums for our sales training programs. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in curriculum design and content creation. This internship will provide valuable insights into the training and development processes within a corporate setting. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist in the design and development of comprehensive training curriculums tailored for internal and external sales teams.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and insights for training materials. 
  • Support content creation, including presentations, manuals, and interactive learning modules. 
  • Help organize and structure training programs to ensure they are engaging and effective. 
  • Conduct research on best practices in product and sales training, and educational methodologies.
  • Assist with the evaluation of existing training materials, providing recommendations for improvements. 
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative trainings ideas and formats. 
  • Support logistics and administration associated with training sessions. 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Instructional Design, Communications and Technology, Graphic Communication, Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Project Management, Marketing, or a related field. 
  • Strong interest in instructional design, curriculum development, and training. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with design software (e.g. iSpring) is a plus. 
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. 
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a willingness to learn.
  • Multilingual, multiliterate abilities a plus.
