Library Program Intern
The Muskingum County Library System is seeking a Library Program Intern.
We are seeking a tech-savvy intern to support our Summer Reading Program. This role will assist with setting up programming, helping participants register, logging reading minutes, and distributing prizes. The intern will not be responsible for independently creating or leading programs but will provide essential behind-the-scenes and participant support.
Location: John McIntire Library (220 North Fifth St, Zanesville, OH 43701)
Salary: $15.00 per hour (25 hours per week, lasting 3 months)
Closing Date: Open Until Filled
Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up and preparing for Summer Reading programs.
- Use library software to register participants, track reading progress, and manage prize distribution.
- Provide technical support to staff and participants using the Summer Reading platform.
- Help ensure a smooth and engaging Summer Reading experience for all participants.
- Perform other duties related to program support as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a university or college program at a junior or senior level.
- Strong technology skills and ability to quickly learn library software.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
- Comfortable assisting patrons with technology and answering questions.
- Reliable and able to work collaboratively with staff.
