Community Behavioral Health Liaison
- This position is to provide additional support to the CYFD Protective Services, Juvenile Justice Services and Children's Behavioral Health Services in the realm of community based behavioral health services.
- This position will act as a liaison and coordinator to the Managed Care Organizations (MCO) and community providers by providing training regarding CYFD divisions and service in relation to Kevin S requirements and Medicaid services.
- This position will assist, schedule and organize trainings, and assist with development of procedures related to the implementation of the Nurtured Heart Approach (NHA), Children Adolescent and Needs Tool (CANS)and Commercial Sexual Exploitation Identification Tool (CSE-IT) tools for the Community Behavioral Health Clinicians (CBHC),Protective Services and Juvenile Justice Services statewide.
- This position partners with community and tracks utilization and development of relationships to ensure behavioral health needs of individuals are met.
- This position will engage with Children's Behavioral Health Services staff along with Medicaid Assistance Division (MAD) to assist in problem solving and communication with Managed Care Organization's regarding coverage of services and organizing appropriate programing supports. The individual will coordinate with NMSU Center of Innovation to schedule and manage trainings regarding Individual Planning Meetings, NHA, CANS, and CSE-IT tools. Trainings provided by the individual will be implemented to ensure that CYFD is abiding by requirements. This individual will also be a technical consultant, reviewing feedback from trainings and facilitating revisions as needed to ensure streamlined training material and a comprehensive understanding by the MCO staff.
- This position will provide administrative support to the Deputy Director and Director of Children's Behavioral Health Services with tracking and evaluating the use of the CANS and CSE-IT tools that are utilized throughout CYFD's divisions. This position will assist their direct manager and Deputy Director in creating, maintaining and reviewing reports regarding requirements due to the Legislative Finance Committee on a quarterly basis. This individual will work closely with the data analyst team to ensure all data is collected appropriately.
- This position will also be vital in communicating with our Managed Care Organizations to work out any insurance coverage issues and needs regarding the behavioral health component that is not being covered or is in question. This position will develop an expertise in managing relationships between CYFD, the Managed Care Organizations and Community Behavioral Health Providers to ensure collaboration and programing is meeting the needs of our families and communities.
- This position will have to demonstrate a high level of organization, ability to collaborate and communicate clearly to providers outside of CYFD. Have skills and knowledge about clinical interventions and clinical levels of treatment that are available in New Mexico. The individual in the position will have to have good judgment and critical thinking skills in order to help with identifying problems in the system along with contribute to improving how the system runs. This position will require flexibility and have the ability to travel throughout NM in order to meet with community providers, CYFD offices or to provide trainings.
