Are you a compassionate, dedicated professional with a passion for helping others in their toughest moments? HelpLine is looking for a full-time Crisis Engagement Coordinator I to provide empathetic, life-changing support to individuals in need. As part of our team, you’ll use your skills to assist individuals through follow-up care, safety planning, and resource connection, making a tangible impact every day.
What You’ll Do
- Provide timely and compassionate follow-ups via calls, texts, emails, and mail to individuals referred to our Crisis Engagement Program bridging the gaps between crisis to long term care.
- Respond to 988 National Suicide Lifeline calls, offering emotional support, crisis intervention, and de-escalation.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety planning, and mandated reporting as needed.
- Guide individuals to mental health and substance use services, utilizing our comprehensive resource database.
- Collaborate with Hotline Specialists and community partners to ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and use technology tools to manage referrals and track progress.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.
- LSW/LPC/LCDC II licensure (or equivalent) within six (6) months of hire.
- Crisis intervention, mental health, or recovery services experience.
- Typing proficiency (30 wpm) and familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
