Organization Mission
Action Resources International (ARI) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that supports and advocates for community organizing that strengthens neighborhoods, communities and regions.

AmeriCorps VISTA Description
Action Resources International is an AmeriCorps VISTA Intermediary program in Wyoming. ARI provides VISTA host sites, such as nonprofits, with recruitment tools, outreach strategies, support and development of new projects, technical support, individual VISTA member communication and all finance and payroll systems.
AmeriCorps VISTA members are passionate and committed to their mission to provide individuals and communities a road out of poverty. Members make a year-long, full-time commitment to serve on a specific project at a nonprofit organization or public agency. They focus their efforts to build the organizational, administrative, and financial capacity of organizations that fight food insecurity, improve health services, foster economic development, and otherwise assist low-income communities.
Position Overview: ARI VISTA Intermediary Program Coordinator
The ARI VISTA Intermediary Program Coordinator is a designated staff member to support and manage the AmeriCorps VISTA program. The ARI VISTA Intermediary Program Coordinator takes the lead on promotional and outreach activities; volunteer recruitment & management; and coordination with program placement sites and community resources. In support of the direct program services, the ARI VISTA Intermediary Program Coordinator works closely with the ARI National Service Director to oversee the program grant, including strategic planning, reporting program development, fiscal management, and member support.

Start Dates: Interviews will occur on a rolling basis upon receipt of applications, with an early April, 2025 target start date. Position will remain open until filled.

General Responsibilities
The ARI VISTA Intermediary Program Coordinator will work closely with the ARI National Service Director and will also be expected to work independently. They will lead the recruitment and management of volunteers; and conduct volunteer training and orientations while building relationships with volunteers, placement sites, and the community. The ARI VISTA Intermediary Program Coordinator will also write grants, maintain records, and contribute to reports associated with the accomplishments of the program.
The ARI VISTA Intermediary Program Coordinator is a position with the goal of maximizing the quality and number of volunteers and placement sites we serve. The ARI VISTA Intermediary Program Coordinator will act as a liaison with the community, and ensure volunteers are getting excellent training and support. Communication and transparency are critical between the Site supervisors, the ARI VISTA Intermediary Program Coordinator, and the National Service Director to sustain a strong program.
Key Responsibilities
The ARI VISTA Intermediary Program Coordinator is expected to:
- Facilitate onboarding of VISTA members including outreach and recruitment; interviews; pre-service orientation; general correspondence; and documents for grant purposes.
- Correspond/communicate with VISTA members; including in-person site visits in various locations across Wyoming, as well as through remote meetings; plan and conduct volunteer trainings and handle everyday situations as they arise.
- Track in-kind contributions from community partners.
- Work with placement sites for completion of paperwork such as MOUs, service contracts, & evaluations.
- Regularly work on recruitment and outreach efforts such as presentations to programs, advertisements, PSAs, fliers, occasional tabling at special events, public speaking, and other opportunities as they present themselves.
- Organize recognition and National Service events as developed with the National Service Director.
- Oversee, completion and signing-off on monthly timesheets for volunteers with the support and guidance of the National Service Director
- Participate in AmeriCorps-sponsored webinars/technical trainings as needed.
- Work with National Service Director in the planning and implementation of ongoing fundraising activities.
- Oversee and manage database and document filing.
Salary
This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position with an annual starting salary of $45,500. (See additional information on benefits in that section above.)
