Application Analyst
Client: Fifth Third Bank
Location: Downtown Cincinnati
This role is part of Brooksource's Elevate Program working with Fifth Third Bank. As an Associate Application Analyst, you will be responsible for data analysis, triaging defects, and identify root causes within their systems. A strong Application Analyst will understand the intake of data and how it impacts the various systems that it is moving through. Soft skills are just as important as technical skills. An exceptional candidate will be a strong communicator, well-organized, and a self-starter.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently pursuing or having earned a bachelor’s degree in in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Business Analytics or relevant background
- Experience with SQL
- Knowledge of database structures and management
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement new features & routine upgrades while continuously improving the quality of technical products and applications to support the department
- Develop and maintain data transfer jobs & schedulers, as required, including to identify & execute opportunities to automate
- Achieve operational excellence by automating processes and writing maintainable, supportable, and testable code
- Assist with problem resolution for end users and customers, including incident & problem management
- Support both application and environment upgrades, new implementations & patches, as required.
- Contribute to the definition of operational procedures for software development
