Company Overview: Community Technical Assistance, Inc. (CTA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering low-to-moderate income communities by providing technical assistance aimed at transforming neighborhoods, enhancing quality of life, and fostering community leadership.
Our mission is to offer support to youth, residents, community-based, and faith-based organizations to revitalize distressed communities. This includes educational programming, high-intensity tutoring, family relief services, and long-term recovery efforts.
Please find more information at cta-us.com. Function: This position will report directly to the Program Manager and work independently, performing a wide range of complex confidential administrative and program support duties.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing or recently completed an associate or bachelor's degree (graduating in 2025 or 2026) in business, education, liberal arts, community development, environmental design in architecture, or a related field • Excellent organizational and communication skills • Creative problem solving and adaptability • Active driver’s license, current auto liability insurance, and reliable transportation
Responsibilities:
• Support CTA mission and programs • Schedule and organize a universal office calendar for community meetings, presentations, events, etc. • Order, organize, and distribute community and program supplies • Work closely with the Program Manager to assist with completing program-related activities • Oversee all aspects of community outreach activities and related administrative needs required for adequate reporting for various funders • Take pictures, record videos, and ensure our community activities and outreach data are reflected on the company website and ready for publishing • Recruit local volunteers to increase participation in CTA programs • Ability to conduct research, investigate best practices, and integrate findings in our projects. • Take part in the design, construction document production, take site visits, and aid in preparing budgeting for affordable modern housing. • Driving and travel is required; travel reimbursements are provided
Preferred Experience:
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) within a Mac platform • Proficiency with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software’s such as ArchiCad27 as well as with graphic software’s (Adobe Pro, Photoshop, etc) • Proven interpersonal skills with experience to help foster a social service environment with tact and diplomacy • Exceptional interpersonal skills – a collaborative style and ability to communicate effectively with strong oral, and written skills • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and manage concurrent priorities
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods to time throughout the day • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs • Must be able to bend and stoop
