Salary:

  • Base Salary: Starting at $42,000
  • Additional salary steps for prior experience and advanced degrees available
  • Stipends: Additional stipends offered for extracurricular responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

  • Instruction: Teach six daily periods of core subjects, including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
  • Planning: Two daily planning periods provided for curriculum preparation and student evaluation.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with state standards.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports student engagement and success.
  • Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the school’s academic program.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and guardians about academic progress and behavioral expectations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field.
  • Ability to obtain a teaching license through the Ohio Department of Education (candidates with licensure pending or in process are encouraged to apply).
  • Successfully pass a BCI/FBI background check.
