Kingsmill is in Williamsburg, VA, the birthplace of America! With Yorktown and Jamestown within a 30-minute drive, there is a lot of history to see and learn from. Kingsmill Resort is also down the street from Busch Gardens, a continuous #1 world’s most beautiful theme park. Other notable locations are Virginia Beach, Harbor Park, home of the Norfolk Tides AAA baseball team, and the world’s largest Naval Base is in Norfolk.
Internship Description
Kingsmill Resort is looking for PGA Golf Management Interns from May to August to work alongside a staff of five certified PGA Professionals and golf staff of 40 employees. PGA Interns should be interested in high end resort and membership operations, along with tournament execution, junior golf programming, instructional opportunities, golf shop operations, and outside operations. Interns can expect to work a full schedule of 40 hours per week in areas throughout the entire golf operation.

Outline
Hourly rate: $15/hour - 35 to 40 hours per week
Official internship starting May 2025 - August 2025
Housing available: (1) Bedroom in our fully furnished 2-Bedroom Condo, $1500 for entire Internship period.

A focus on tournament operations using Golf Genius and member/guest communication practices, basic golf professional duties (scoring, rules of golf, interdepartmental communication), POS (point of sale) duties.
A focus on proper golf operations needs such as cart and staging area cleanliness, practice facility maintenance, proper golf course tournament and daily play setup, golf shop display and organization.
A focus on proper golf instruction practices by use of lesson shadow opportunities, private lesson opportunities, junior camps and clinics.
A focus on retail and merchandising practices such as taking inventory, member charges, credit card and room charges, new inventory display.
