Instructional Coordinator
The Instructional Coordinator in the School of Business and Law provides instructional and administrative support to the Dean of the School of Business Law, the Assistant Dean, Directors, Academic Chairs, and Coordinators on matters pertaining to faculty and instruction, course offerings and scheduling, college publications, teaching assignments and contracts, faculty teaching loads, preparation and maintenance of curricular and instructional documents, data analysis of enrollment trends, and digital textbook management.

Pay dates occur on the 7th and 22nd of each month. If those dates fall on a weekend, the pay date occurs on the Friday prior to the 7th and 22nd. As an employee of the college, you are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Organize, analyze, coordinate, enter and modify the development of the credit schedule of classes, in collaboration with the Assistant Dean and Directors, for submission to the Office Of Records and Registration, including management of all phases of production. With the Assistant Dean and Directors, evaluate and analyze course times, locations, modalities as well as past and future enrollment trends. Track ongoing enrollments each term to identify over/under enrolled courses. Liaison with the Center for Workforce Solutions in the scheduling and staffing of credit contract classes.
Organize, coordinate, and modify all EPC proposals for the calendar year, tracking the progress of the documents through the final approval by the EPC committee. Maintain program and course files for the departments in the School of Business and Law, particularly current course outlines for each academic year and ensure Assistant Dean and Directors have the most recent versions. Ensure all catalog entries are in conformance with EPC modifications, deletions, and additions.
Schedule faculty approved by Assistant Dean and Directors to teach specific sections of a course. Provide instructional materials (textbooks, course outlines, etc.) to faculty. Process all part-time faculty and full-time faculty overload teaching contracts and enter non-instructional activities as release time or contracts. Monitor faculty loading for College Manual and ACA compliance. Generate master load reports for the Dean. Prepare faculty load reports, staffing analyses and enrollment reports as required by the Dean
Assign part-time and full-time faculty to courses and any non-instructional service approved the Dean. Monitor, track, and maintain files on part-time rank, promotions, evaluations, and teaching workload reports. Oversee the processing and routing of all compensation documents for full-time and part-time faculty. Serve as the primary contact for questions or issues about contracts and contract approvals. Coordinate with Assistant Dean and Directors adjusted lab fees for courses to ensure compliance with budget deadlines
Organize, coordinate and assist with the collection and analysis of pertinent data for course and program review and strategic planning responses as requested by the Dean and required by state and external agencies and the college administration. At the direction of the Dean, originate memoranda, letters and reports to be sent to chairs, faculty, administrators.
Liaison between School of Business and Law and the College Bookstore concerning textbook orders. Manage textbook ordering process. Enter textbook information into the textbook requisition site for department chair/director approval. For courses that have adopted Direct Digital Access, ensure all book fees are added to Colleague in an accurate and timely manner. Ensure faculty receive electronic and/or hard copies of adopted textbooks.
Participate as an active member of the School of Business and Law leadership team to implement common practices and standards, identify common projects, maintain a common vision and sense of mission, and establish resources for shared activities. Serve on school and/or college committees for implementation of special projects in support of college operations as assigned by the Dean.
Work in conjunction with other ICs across the college as part of the IC Data Group to establish consistencies and problem solve issues related to IC duties.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher
A minimum of two years experience in educational program development, project management, administration and/or teaching required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications required (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams) and a willingness and ability to adapt and learn new software.
Ability to work independently with attention to details and accuracy. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, conflict resolution and multi-tasking skills.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others in a team setting, assuming leadership roles when required.
Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service with the ability to deal professionally, tactfully, and effectively with students, instructors, administrators, professional and support staff, and community stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Ellucian Colleague, Curriculum, and Acculog software highly desirable.
Experience managing course schedules in a higher education setting highly desirable.
Experience in a post-secondary setting, especially a comprehensive community college, strongly preferred.
