Job Title: Data Quality Intern

Purpose 

As a Data Analyst Intern you will be using databases to turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. 

Responsibilities 

You will assist the Data Solutions team in a full range of data functions, such as

  • Extracting, cleaning, and organizing data from various sources using automated tools.
  • Using Tableau and other applications to create and organize data to make informed decisions, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
  • Reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct problems.
  • Performing data analysis and building Tableau dashboards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or requested.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be a critical thinker and a problem solver.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Microsoft Office – intermediate to advanced Excel.
  • SQL – basic to intermediate is a plus.
  • Commercial Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance industry knowledge, a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple channels and asynchronously in a remote-first working environment.

Requirements

  • Student must be enrolled in an accredited university working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Services, Data Analytics, or related degree. 
  • Ability to work in a fully remote working environment free from distractions and access to stable and reliable internet services. 

Employment Conditions

  • The intern will be expected to work full-time at 37.5 hours/week over the summer with the potential for part-time work continuing during the school year. 
  • This internship is classified as a temporary, part-time position. 
  • This internship is compensated as non-exempt, hourly position. 
  • This internship position is a fully remote.
