Purpose
As an Insurance Product Intern, you will support AAIS’s product line teams in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our insurance programs and services.
Responsibilities
You will assist the Product team in a full range of day-to-day operations, such as
- Analyzing and comparing insurance program policies and manual rules, providing clear deconstruction and side-by-side evaluations to support decision-making.
- Compiling and recording accurate pricing data into the product delivery platform, ensuring seamless and efficient product setup.
- Conducting in-depth competitor research to assess insurance program content, identifying key differentiators and opportunities for improvement.
- Performing manual testing and collaborating on the development of automated tests to validate application functionality and enhance system reliability.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or requested.

- Comfortable with data and analyzing sensitive information.

- Strong attention to detail.
- Commercial Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance industry knowledge, a plus.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple channels and asynchronously in a remote-first working environment.
Requirements
- Student must be enrolled in an accredited university working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Services, Data Analytics, or related degree.
- Interest in pursuing a career in the insurance industry post-graduation.
- Ability to work in a fully remote working environment free from distractions and access to stable and reliable internet services.
Employment Conditions
- The intern will be expected to work full-time at 37.5 hours/week over the summer with the potential for part-time work continuing during the school year.
- This internship is classified as a temporary, part-time position.
- This internship is compensated as non-exempt, hourly position.
- This internship position is a fully remote.
