Intern, 2-1-1 (Unpaid)
PURPOSE OF POSITION: To assist individuals seeking services through 2-1-1 in navigating available community resources.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Community Resource Navigation: Receives and responds to incoming 2-1-1 calls, individuals, families, and community organizations seeking assistance. Collects basic data on the caller, provides appropriate referrals to available services, and documents all demographic information, unmet needs, and referrals provided. Completes screening and appointment scheduling as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of human services field preferred
- Experience and interest in providing excellent customer service required.
- Ability to navigate between and utilize a variety of computer applications simultaneously.
- Flexible and adaptable to organization scheduling requirements.
- Cometent in MS Office products.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to pass pre-employment testing including background check, drug, and alcohol screen.
- Valid driver license and proof of insurance. Access to reliable insured automobile to be used for work-related travel in Summit & Medina County area.
- Less than 5% of Travel
- A quiet space with reliable internet access to work remotely.
- Position is primarily remote, requiring long periods of sedentary work at a desk and computer.
