In-Clinic Behavior Clinician
We are a very small ABA clinic, located in Irvine, Ca (Close to the University of Irvine Campus) It requires availability from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. We will consider part-time if necessary. While there may be opportunities to carry out treatment in alternate locations, employees will primarily treat clients at the ALIGNED ABA location. This is an IN-CLINIC ONLY position.
As a Direct Service Behavior Clinician, your primary responsibility will be to provide direct treatment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or who need behavioral support by their families. We primarily train and teach Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), in Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT); Communication/Language Development; foundations within play and are really looking for someone who is passionate and have a love for all types of children! The age range of clients served is from 12 months to 10 years. This full-time position, part-time positions will also be taken into consideration.
Upon hire, all employees will undergo ALIGNED ABA's formal training process, lasting
approximately 3 weeks. The training includes supervised hands-on experience with clients and didactic sessions covering foundational principles of ABA and DTT. Regular staff meetings and training will be conducted throughout the year, involving discussions and hands-on practice.
Requirements and Position Description:
All Behavior Clinicians are responsible for implementing treatment plans developed by the supervising BCBA, recording data, filling out daily session notes, and maintaining effective communication with parents and the supervising BCBA. Moreover, Behavior Clinicians are responsible for the overall care of ALIGNED ABA clients, ensuring their dignity is maintained, and daily needs are met.
Given that ALIGNED ABA is primarily a combination of in-clinic, in-home and community service provider, your role may include:
supporting clients during toileting and diapering, maintaining a tidy working environment, assisting during mealtime, and addressing clients' specific needs. It is essential to work closely with the center, supervisor to ensure proper sign-in and sign-out procedures for clients arriving at the center.
Essential Skills:
To be considered for this position, ALIGNED ABA requires the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in psychology, education, or a related field) will consider soon to-be graduate.
- Experience working with children
Willingness to learn and engage in activities with children - Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
- Ability to independently lift, move, and carry objects weighing up to thirty-five (35) pounds
- Ability to sit on the ground or small chairs, bend, and move at the waist
- TB test clearance
- Criminal background check clearance
