Job Developer

The Job Developer works as an outside salesperson that solicits prospective employers to develop jobs for participants of our Supported Employment program, which provide support and training for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

Your mission will be to educate businesses or potential employers on the advantages of utilizing our agency's job coaching services and the benefits of hiring individuals with disabilities. By fostering strong relationships with both employers and participants of our program, you'll assist our participants in crafting compelling resumes and mastering interview skills. Are you the Job Developer we're looking for?
To excel as a Job Developer at Community Interface Services, you will need a strong ability to build relationships and network effectively within the community. Understanding the unique interests and skills of our participants is essential, as it enables you to identify the best job placements that align with their passions and strengths. Flexibility is also a crucial skill, allowing you to adapt to the ever-changing landscape of the nonprofit social services sector and respond to diverse employer needs. Proficiency in relevant software and tools will enhance your ability to manage relationships and streamline the job placement process. This combination of interpersonal skills and adaptability will ensure your success in empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve meaningful employment. This position will be based out of our Vista office, but the work takes you all over San Diego county. Flexibility will be key in this role!
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Ability to build relationships and network
- Understanding the interests and skills of our participants to find the best job placement
- High School Diploma, bachelor's degree preferred
- Vehicle and CA driver's license required for this role
- Auto insurance and 2 years driving experience
