ERP Systems Administrator & Developer

As the ERP Systems Administrator & Developer, you will work within the company’s cloud environments to optimize usage and maximize business benefits. You will maintain and configure data models for Power Apps and the ERP system, manage user setup, and schedule upgrades and patches. Additionally, you will collaborate with a third-party support vendor as a project manager to ensure system optimization, which is critical to business operations.

 

Major Responsibilities

  • Maintain web environments by identifying system requirements, installing upgrades and monitoring system performance.
  • Serve as the ERP (IFS Cloud) super user, providing first-level guidance and support for end users while acting as the main liaison with the third-party support vendor and IFS Support team.
  • Ensure operational security by safeguarding information.
  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and build new API integrations to support increasing data volume and complexity.
  • Collaborates with analytics and business teams to enhance data models that drive business intelligence tools, improving data accessibility and supporting data-driven decision-making.
  • Code, configure, and modify software applications based on design specifications.
  • Customize off-the-shelf software to meet specific business requirements.
  • Identify and resolve issues through debugging and troubleshooting. 
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, user manuals, and system changes. 
  • Ensure applications comply with security policies and standards while implementing measures to protect sensitive data.
  • Prepare system software installations by studying software capabilities and operations, including task scheduling, memory management, file systems, and input/output requirements.
  • Perform data analysis required to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
  • Conduct thorough testing of applications to ensure functionality, performance, and security.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance performance and efficiency.

 

Job Specific and/or Technical Skills Required

  • Proficiency in both programming and domain-specific languages (SQL, Python, C#, Java, etc.)
  • Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
  • Strong communication skills with a willingness to collaborate across departments.
  • Process-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Project management experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience with system implementation and migration.
  • Knowledge of business processes, including Procurement, Asset Maintenance, and Finance.
  • Scripting skills for automation and customization tasks.
  • Hands-on experience developing and customizing applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Power Apps, AWS, Google Cloud, and other major cloud services.
  • Strong data management skills with an emphasis on data privacy and security.
  • In-depth understanding of cloud computing technologies, applications, and trends.
  • System administration experience with an understanding of software development lifecycles.
  • Knowledge of server configurations, networking, data models, power applications and cloud computing.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies in a rapidly evolving IT landscape.
  • Understanding of best practices and IT operations in a 24-7 production environment.
  • Travel Requirements: Position is on-site, based in Waynesburg, PA with site-to-site travel required (valid driver’s license necessary).

 

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field
  • IT experience with ERP Systems (preferably IFS Cloud or Microsoft Dynamics F&O).
  • Relevant certifications in technology, software, project management, or security (e.g., ITIL, PMP, Oracle Certified Associate, CISSP, IFS Certified Associate / Professional).
  • Thorough understanding of networking, data models, and Power applications
