Position

As an NGS Specialist at Alithea Genomics, you will be instrumental in our RNA-seq service and sequencing teams, where precision, accuracy, and quality are paramount. This role offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge NGS technologies, ensuring the reliability of our products and services, and collaborating with a dedicated team of professionals in a dynamic environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Execute RNA-seq library preparation protocols.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and NGS instruments.
  • Conduct thorough quality control checks of sequencing libraries and manufactured kits.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to meet service targets and ensure quality.
  • Document experimental procedures and results, write and revise the SOPs.

 

Qualifications

  • BSc/MSc degree in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with general molecular biology methods and work skills NGS library preparation techniques.
  • Familiarity with NGS sequencing platforms and associated software is a strong plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to scientific excellence.
  • Previous experience in a genomics research or manufacturing laboratory is preferred.

This is an onsite position at our laboratory in Frederick MD 21703.
