Strategic Planning Analyst (Non-Gaming)

JOB SUMMARY: 

The Non-Gaming & Labor Analyst assists with the day-to-day operations of the financial planning function including forecasting, budgeting, and analytics.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

[NON-GAMING] Executes day-to-day analytical support to operating departments including, but not exclusive to, food & beverage, retail, and entertainment.

 

  • Develop and maintain management reports which reflect clear, accurate and concise data analysis.
  • Provide short-term/quick turnaround support for analysis requests at the direction of department leader(s).
  • Regularly synthesize large amounts of data into actionable recommendations and presentations for management review.
  • Proactively identifies revenue and cost savings opportunities.
  • Provides analytical support for budgeting and forecasting.

 

[LABOR] Provides stakeholders with data and recommendations to make informed labor decisions.

 

  • Measures and monitors productivity reports on costs and labor.
  • Conduct objective, rigorous analytics to help the business improve profitability through expense reduction.
  • Optimize schedules based on business needs and labor standards, ensuring resource allocation aligns with demand.
  • Utilize Virtual Roster, UKG Basic, and/or UKG Advanced to manage scheduling and timekeeping systems.

 

[ANALYSIS] Interprets data into meaningful and relevant reports with recommendations.

 

  • Contributes to the presentation of operating financial results for assigned areas.
  • Communicate conclusions, implications, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
  • Analyze standard reporting and conduct in-depth analysis to provide insight on customer behavior.
  • Prepares post analysis to measure success and make recommendations to improve based on results.

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

  • The ideal candidate will have business degree in marketing or finance and undergrad or on the job training in advanced analytics.
  • Relevant work experience in financial analysis, marketing, operations analysis, or the gaming industry preferred but not required.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Streamline processes to optimize productivity, efficiency, and speed
  • Fluent in use of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Work, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Proficiency in SQL required and Power BI recommended
  • Ability to work diplomatically with all levels of management in order to influence without authority
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, communication, team building and problem-solving skills are required
  • Possess excellent math, statistical and technical financial analysis skills that are detail and result oriented
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are required
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must be self-motivated and able to handle more than one function at a time by being well organized
