Finance Instructor and Business Operations Internship

Wealthy Habits is an Atlanta-based non-profit that has been growing its financial literacy programs since 2012. We strive to make the learning fun and engaging to focus on changing the way our students think about money. Over the past decade, Wealthy Habits has taught over 15,000 students and has hired over 100 interns to do so. 
 

Our summer interns are PAID as they are an integral part of what we do. Besides teaching and mentoring the youth ages 11-18, we offer our interns an opportunity to assist on business operations and strategic plans for future growth and greater impact. 
 

Internships for 2025 will be 12 full weeks (5/19/2025-8/8/2025). Any intern who needs to return to school prior to 8/8/2025 will end 8/1/2025. 

 

Job Summary:

  • Undergo comprehensive curriculum training with your peers during the first week of your internship. 
  • Co-deliver the Wealthy Habits curriculum with a peer intern to groups of students
    • Training and instructional materials are provided with some autonomy in the delivery of the curriculum. 
    • Camps are both in-person at multiple locations in the metro-Atlanta area and virtual. Virtual camps are taught from our office location in Dunwoody.
    • Hours are from 8:30am - 4:30pm and 9:30am - 6:00pm typically, depending on which camp you are instructing.
  • Work with peers to complete projects. Some example projects might be:
    • Course/Curriculum development
    • Business proposal for future organizational growth
    • Program management process proposal
    • Problem and solution proposal for improvement
    • Implementation of select projects to be assigned as necessary

Applicant Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, or other business-related fields or have a solid knowledge of personal finance and investing
  • Have a GPA of at least a 3.2
  • Pass a complete background check (with NO infractions)
  • Ability to travel to various program locations in the Metro-Atlanta area as necessary
  • Ability to work on location at our Dunwoody offices for virtual programs
  • Excited to give back to the community while open to self-improvement
