QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma OR enrolled in an Early Childhood or Child Development program (Career Tech, CDA or College Credit) as a High School Senior. Must pass background check, drug test and pre-employment physical. Experience with children preferred.

AVAILABILITY: MUST BE AVAILABLE MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY from 6:30-8:30 AM or 3:00-6:00 PM during the Kent City School's school year (8/19/25-6/3/26). Training can begin this summer based on applicant's availability. Summer employment available but not required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Working with Kindergarten-6th graders in before and after school programs located at Davey Elementary School or the City of Kent Recreation Center. Professionalism, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task a must. Completing lesson plans, managing a group of up to 18 students on your own, completing training in child development, interacting with parents and school faculty, adapting to the behavioral and educational needs of children, applying conflict management within children, marketing the program, etc.

RATE OF PAY: $12.00-$15.00/hr (based on education and experience)
