Elementary School Counselor

Position Type:  Elementary School Counselor
Start Date:  August 2025 for the 2025-26 academic year
Salary:   Dependent on experience
Reports to:  Elementary Principal
Hours:   Faculty, 25-30 hours per week


Summary:  

Mansfield Christian School is seeking an Elementary Counselor for the 2025-26 school year. Responsibilities will include assisting teachers and students in social and emotional support.


Qualifications: 
• Master’s degree in School Counseling required
• Credentialed in school counseling by the State of Ohio or equivalent
• Teaching experience from a biblical worldview preferred
• Has a strong testimony of relationship/faith in Jesus Christ
• Agrees with Mansfield Christian’s statement of faith and evidence of spiritual growth/maturity
• Association of Christian School International (ACSI) certification or willingness to work towards certification
• Desire to support and encourage co-workers
• Utilize good listening skills and seeks Godly counsel

 

Job Description:
• Proficient in child development, learning strategies, self-management and social skills
• Collaborates with and provides resources for teachers, students, parents, and community members
• Facilitates direct and indirect services for students
• Identifies student academic needs and social/emotional health needs and provides support in these areas
