Manufacturing Process Engineer Intern

JOB TITLE:  Manufacturing Process Engineer Intern

PRIMARY LOCATION:  GRAND RAPIDS, MI 

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for executing technical support activities for GMP Manufacturing Operations in a multi-product, Fill/Finish CDMO facility. Activities include cross-functional evaluations, targeted innovations, and overall plant performance. This position will be expected to work closely with Operations, Continuous Improvement and Project Management to support position objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Intern will perform the following under the guidance and direction of the department

Manager/Leadership:

· Support strategic plans for process improvements to increase efficiency and manage costs.

· Data analysis including presentation of data.

· Effective cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Continuous Improvement, MSAT, and Operations.

· Assist in implementations of targeted new technologies and procedures.

· Preparation of visual aids and presentations, including Process Flow Diagrams (SIPOC).

· Assist with assembly and administration of validation protocols.

· Prepare and execute feasibility study documentation to support data gathering and process.

· Justification activities.

· Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices.

EDUCATION, PRIOR EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING:

This internship is appropriate for a college level sophomore – senior working toward a degree in Manufacturing Technology, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Biotechnology or other Life Sciences.
