Patrol Officer

Enforces state and local laws and ordinances to provide for a safe community environment.  Primary duties include fostering a positive public image of the Chubbuck Police Department while responding to calls for the protection of life and property, conducting criminal and non-criminal investigations, making arrests, completing reports, interacting with the judicial system, and performing other assigned law enforcement and public safety duties. 

The work is performed under general supervision and requires independent discretion and decision making within established guidelines, although a Corporal, Sergeant and/or Lieutenant is available for advice and counsel as needed. 

A Police Officer is exposed to indoor and outdoor environments including but not limited to extreme weather conditions, strenuous activity, lifting heavy objects, restraining another human being, and exposure to hazardous materials and life-threatening situations.
