Job Description
The Program Manager will oversee and manage key programs and projects, ensuring they align with Mihlfeld & Associates’ strategic objectives. This role involves performing in-depth analytics, managing RFQ (Request for Quotation) processes across all transportation modes, and collaborating with the account management team to ensure successful project execution and alignment with client objectives. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with the ability to interpret complex datasets, identify trends, and generate actionable insights to inform decision-making, has strong organizational skills, an eagerness to learn, and a commitment to delivering measurable results for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple programs and projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with company goals and client expectations.
- Perform detailed analytics to evaluate transportation performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve operational efficiency.
- Lead and execute RFQ processes for all transportation modes, including small package, LTL (less-than-truckload), and truckload services.
- Collaborate with internal teams to define program objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Send RFQs, perform negotiations, and communicate with transportation carriers on behalf of clients to secure optimal pricing and service terms.
- Maintain detailed documentation of RFQ processes, negotiations, and carrier agreements for transparency and future reference.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and client requirements.
Ideal Candidate Qualities
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain, logistics, data science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills. Experience in transportation data analysis and performance evaluation is a plus, but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a client-focused mindset.
