R27901 Summer Internship: Procurement & Vendor Master Intern (Remote)

Note: To be considered for our 2025 Summer Internship program you must be enrolled in a university degree program and cannot be graduating sooner than December 2025. 

 

Education Required: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging Engineering, or similar life science degree. Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university following the internship assignment.

 

General Description/Scope of Responsibilities (Internship): This internship will be approximately 11 weeks and will be project based as part of the Global Commercial Supply Chain (GCSC) Packaging Engineering team. There are 5 functional areas within GCSC: planning and logistics (demand and supply), packaging engineering, CMO management/PM, system capabilities, and business operation. The intern will be an integral member of the Packaging Engineering team, which is focused on commercial packaging design and process qualification, shipping lane characterization, and thermal shipping solution qualification.

 

Essential Functions of the Internship:

 

This position is responsible for supporting on-going packaging projects:

  • Identify shipping lane and thermal shipping solution qualification process
  • Assist in creation of GMP documents: Standard Operating Procedure/ Work Instructions, Packaging Component Specification, Technical templates...etc.
  • Assist in packaging design development and testing, author packaging component testing protocol and report
  • Coordinate with external test lab to ensure packaging test is completed on schedule and meet BeiGene requirement
  • Participant in project and meeting with external suppliers and internal cross -functional team department (e.g. Logistics, Quality, CMO management/Project Management…etc.)

·       Strong collaboration and excellent team skills to be successful in cross -functional and multi-cultural teams

·       Proactive approach for supporting and managing projects

Understands global pharmaceutical regulatory requirements (e.g. GMP, GDP)

 

Supervisory Responsibilites: 

None

Computer Skills:  In-depth knowledge and skill with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.

Other Qualifications:       Due to global nature of company early morning or evening meeting may be required.

Pay Range:

$27.50/hr (Bachelors)

$40.50 (PhD)

Salary Range: $ - $ per hour

Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
