MARKETING AND FUND DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

The City of Oshkosh's Parks Department is dedicated to preserving our city’s green spaces and enhancing the quality of life for residents through recreational and educational opportunities. We are seeking a dynamic professional to join our team as a Marketing and Fund Development Coordinator.
The Marketing and Fund Development Coordinator will be responsible for creating and managing all marketing efforts, including integrated marketing communications, public relations, membership and donor development, and community outreach for the Oshkosh Seniors Center, Parks Department and neighborhood programs through the Community Development Department’s Planning Division. They will have secondary responsibilities for promoting and assisting with recruiting the volunteer work base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing campaigns to promote events, programs, and facilities.
- Create engaging content for various media, including social media, print, and digital platforms.
- Identify and cultivate partnerships with community organizations, local businesses, and donors to support fund development efforts.
- Develop and enhance the execution of giving programs, planned giving, capital campaigns, endowment funds, foundation and grant requests, and multiple community fundraisers. Research and apply for grants, and manage fundraising events.
- Cultivate and maintain working relationships with media. Assist with special event execution. Work with Oshkosh Media Services staff to initiate and respond to media coverage and facilitate successful working relationships with media.
- Assist with recruiting, motivating and leading the work of volunteers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- At least two years of proven experience in marketing, public relations, fundraising, or a similar role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Passion for community service and stewardship.
- Experience with fundraising databases and CRM software is desirable.
