Payroll/Accounts Payable

NORTH OLMSTED CITY SCHOOLS CLASSIFIED ADMINISTRATIVE VACANCY NOTICE
DATE: February 11, 2025
POSITION: Payroll/Accounts Payable
(Modified posting of Financial Analyst position posted on 12/4/24)
8 hours per day – 260 days per year
 

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience in an accounting or other business-related field
• Experience in governmental accounting (accounts payable, receivables, payroll, and reporting)
• Experience with Online Software programs
• Experience in a variety of Health Insurance protocols and procedures, including but not limited to FMLA, Worker’s Compensation, and confidential records


SEEKING CANDIDATES WITH SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND KNOWLEDGE IN:
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written skills
• Attention to detail with an appreciation for meeting deadlines
• Strength with accounting, finance, and numeric values
• Capacity to follow complex directions and complete tasks without direction
• Knowledge in areas of accounts payable, receivable, invoicing, payroll, and inventory procedures
• Understands and has had involvement with all fiscal year-end practices and annual audits
• Detail-oriented, with an appreciation for meeting deadlines
• Ability to provide support to staff, departments, and buildings
• Preferred experience with school software programs including - State Software (Redesign) Frontline Software (AESOP, Applitrack, Veritime) PaySchools, PowerSchool, BoardDocs, and SCView


Required Experience and Qualifications:
• Proficient with all Microsoft Suite programs, particularly Excel and Google
• Meets all mandated health requirements
• Documented evidence of a clear criminal record
• Ability to use all appropriate technology as needed
• Eager to learn and accept new challenges
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude
• Aptitude to learn
• Willingness to learn other areas of the treasurer's office and a designer to cross-train


SALARY: Exempt salary schedule, competitive and commensurate with experience and background.
