R2E Career Readiness Coach
The Career Readiness Coach provides career readiness instruction and work readiness training experiences for teens ages 14-18. The goal is to ensure participants successfully complete the program and develop essential workplace skills. This is a seasonal, non-exempt position, running from June 9 to August 8, 2025, for approximately 25 to 30 hours per week.
II. Essential Responsibilities
Work closely with young adults, parents, Workforce Training instructors, and staff to ensure participant success.
Provide guidance, mentoring, and resources throughout the six-week program.
Develop and support working relationships with Workforce Training instructors to create a collaborative experience.
Assist participants with time management skills, helping them balance schedules effectively.
Model professional behavior, assist with conflict resolution, and identify potential challenges that may impact participant success.
Collect, verify, and monitor attendance for accuracy.
Support participants in completing work readiness assignments and achieving milestones.
Conduct regular follow-ups (twice per week) to assess participant progress and provide feedback.
Maintain proper documentation of participant interactions, progress, and challenges.
Ensure participants adhere to program policies and procedures outlined in the program agreement.
Maintain accurate records, performance tracking, and reports as required by the supervisor.
Attend regular staff meetings and collaborate with team members.
Comply with Godman Guild guidelines, policies, and procedures.
III. Record-Keeping & Special Events
Maintain electronic documentation of individual and group interactions, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, state, and federal laws.
Submit reports as required by funding sources, supervisor, or director.
Assist with special projects and events as assigned.
IV. Other Responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned.
V. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following established guidelines.
Strong time management and multi-tasking skills, meeting deadlines efficiently.
Proficiency in technology: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite, and other database/reporting systems.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
Ability to communicate effectively with youth, staff, and external partners in both written and verbal formats.
Professionalism in conduct, discretion, and maintaining confidentiality of participant information.

VI. Work Experience and Education
Some college coursework or relevant experience required; degree in Education, Social Work, Business, or a related field preferred.
Experience working in youth programs, workforce development, employment services, or community organizations.
Strong relationship-building skills, ability to engage and mentor youth effectively.
Valid driver’s license with current insurance; must be insurable to drive agency vehicles with no major or DUI offenses in the past five years.
Experience working with reporting systems and data tracking tools is preferred.

Ability to lift and carry objects up to 10 pounds.
Spend approximately 95% of the time standing, bending, lifting, sitting, and walking.
