Endpoint Engineer

Pay Range:

  • The full pay range is $101,036.00-$151,554.00/annually
  • We provide an additional $2.00 per hour bilingual differential for those employees who can support our members' financial needs effectively in a second language; subject to verification of strong grasp of financial terms utilizing language skillsets.

Compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer of employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Job Overview:

Responsible for administration over the organizations various end user environments. Works directly with all levels of technology and infrastructure teams; including network and server architecture. Serves as escalated support for issues relating to end user environments and troubleshoots a broad range of tickets until resolution. Responsible for ensuring endpoint patching is timely and up to date.

What you’ll do:

  • Troubleshoots and successfully diagnose endpoint problems of all levels of complexity. These endpoints include but are not limited to Mac and Windows laptops, desktops, and virtual machines, Android and iPhone devices, printers, scanners, copiers, as well as video conferencing room configurations. Works directly with hardware/software vendors when necessary.
  • Manages all systems associated with the build, deployment, and updating of virtual and physical workstations. Ensures environments are continually updated and patched with current versions of operating systems, software products, and applications.
  • Serves as an administrator on active directory, specifically regarding users, group policy, and workstation configurations.
  • Ensures change management procedures and methodologies are implemented and upheld. Provides a current, well-managed operating environment for production operations.
  • Builds, develops, and manages the various workstation environments, including physical and virtual workstations.
  • Creates and deploys software packages using automation tools to support enterprise level installation of updates and applications. Packages and deploys Application Volumes for VDI.
  • Works closely with IT Asset Administrators to ensure an accurate and up to date inventory of all applicable hardware. Coordinates deployment of all new hardware to end users in a hybrid environment.
  • Defines and monitors multiple project priorities and drives automation to improve end user experiences. Provides technical and administrative supervision to ensure management is apprised of operational status of projects.
  • Provides appropriate hardware/software resources for business applications, performs capacity planning, workload modeling/prediction, and purchasing recommendations for new hardware/software upgrades.
  • Performs security vulnerability mitigation and monthly patching of desktop operating systems and software.
  • Coordinates onboarding of employees between People & Culture, Identity & Access Management, and hiring managers.
  • Ensures all images and endpoints are continually updated and maintain auditory driven regulations and requirements.
  • Collaborates with Information Security to drive policy development.
  • Provides on-call support, when applicable, on all systems to meet departmental service level agreements. Able to be on-site when needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years experience working in Information Technology or similar field.
  • A minimum three (3) years experience in endpoint management or workstation support and administration.

Bonus Points if you have:

  • Financial institution experience.

What you’ll bring:

  • Knowledge of credit union policies, procedures and established processes.
  • Experience with Windows Server OS, Windows Workstation OS, Windows Active Directory, Exchange, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, VPN among others. Scripting experience a plus.
  • In depth knowledge of Unified Endpoint Management tools like Intune/ManageEngine and their operation.
  • Understanding and successful implementation of industry best practices for patching and security.
  • Successful track record collaborating with technical and non-technical teams to promote ideas to support business enablement.
  • Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions.
  • Ability to have ownership and autonomy to work on tasks and be pro-active in managing them end to end.
  • Effectively research job related situations and finding solutions.
  • Demonstrate ability to devise creative solutions.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all areas of responsibility.
  • Work extended hours as required or requested by management to complete assigned projects, maintain appropriate staffing levels to provide service levels for member facing jobs or to ensure safety requirements are met.

This position is eligible for Full-Time Regular benefits. Employees and their eligible family members have access to a wide array of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage. Includes an option for Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance to be paid at a 100% by company for the employee only coverage. We also offer Health Care FSA (HCFSA), Health Savings Account (HSA) with employer contributions, and Dependent Care FSA (DCFSA). Employees also have access to Life and AD&D insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our 401k plan. Full-Time Regular employees accrue 8 hours of vacation and 8 hours of sick leave, on a monthly basis. Full-Time Regular hired employees also receive 11 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, 1 floating holiday, 16 hours of self-care time, and 16 hours of volunteer time (may be prorated based on hire date in the initial calendar year).

All benefits except 401k start the first of the month after 30 days of employment. Employees become eligible to contribute to 401k on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
