Business Solutions Manager
The Business Solutions Manager (BSM) is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with employers to facilitate the hiring of job-ready candidates from Godman Guild applicant pool. This role involves strategic planning, marketing, recruitment, and continuous communication with employers to ensure successful placements and retention. Additionally, the BSM will support the agency's operational needs, including record-keeping, and participation in special projects and community activities.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Identify and recruit potential employers willing to interview and hire pre-screened job-ready candidates from the Guild applicant pool.
- Provide current and potential employers with marketing packets detailing Guild programs and services.
- Create, maintain, and regularly update an employer development plan; provide monthly progress updates.
- Contact employers monthly to assess needs, obtain feedback on placements, and identify additional hiring requirements.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with small and large local companies.
- Maintain a working knowledge of local industry sectors, including growth, decline, standards, and advances.
- Develop and maintain a steady flow of job leads for Guild job seekers with targeted companies.
- Distribute information on open positions to job seekers in a timely and consistent manner.
- Screen and match qualified candidates with area employers.
- Work closely with Workforce Development staff to understand employment requirements for job seekers.
- Assess organizational needs and market Godman Guild services to targeted employers.
- Support retention efforts by troubleshooting and resolving new employee/employer issues following placement.
- Inform Career Coaches about work readiness status/issues of participants as communicated by employers.
- Host employer hiring/information events as appropriate.
- Support and promote summer youth, certification, and apprenticeship program opportunities.
- Work with Education & Training Staff to schedule employers to teach aspects of workplace readiness to job seekers as appropriate.
- Maintain company contact, placement, and follow-up information; keep open position information updated; submit reports as required by funders, Program Supervisor/Director.
Other Responsibilities
- Provide outreach and facilitate presentations, as assigned.
- Participate in agency and community meetings and events, as assigned.
- Work with the partners to coordinate, plan, and facilitate special events.
- Develop partnerships and alignment of services between agency programs.
- Perform direct service as needed.
- Participate in professional development and training activities as required.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in employer engagement, recruitment, and workforce development.
- Strong knowledge of local industry sectors and labor market trends.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and preparing reports.

Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or comparable work experience is preferred.
- Requires some experience in a management/supervisory position or comparable experience.
- Experience with employment programming preferred.
- High level of cultural competence preferred.
- Requires intermediate computer skills and experience using office equipment.
- Requires the ability to pass a criminal background check.
