Matriark Summer Intern

Matriark Foods is a high-growth recognized leader in food systems change. We are a passionate, collaborative, impact-driven start-up working to reduce the negative impacts of wasted food on global warming while increasing access to nutritious food. Matriark makes delicious, healthy, versatile food products from upcycled farm surplus and fresh-cut remnants, diverting waste from landfill while producing the healthy food we all need.

Matriark is seeking a highly energetic, organized, and motivated intern to support general office duties, social media, and more. You care deeply about the job at hand and are willing to go the extra mile to get the job done. You have an entrepreneurial spirit, and you want to learn everything you can about what it takes to make, source, and move climate-friendly products to market. This is an in-person position in New York City approximately 20 hours/week.

Reporting to the CEO, the Matriark intern supports administrative functions for the Matriark team. You will be owning our sample process, packing and mailing boxes, assisting with content creation, and more. When you’ve finished your internship, you will know what it takes to run a climate forward food business.
