Market Research Analyst Internship
Job Summary
The Market Research Analyst Internship is an entry-level position where you’ll support project teams with research related to market needs, competitor analysis, analogous industries, emerging technologies and changing trends. As a Market Research Analyst Intern, you will collaborate on projects for clients from various industries, such as food and beverage, building and construction, science and technology, and many others, while researching a range of topics including AI, electrification, consumer behavior, sustainability and more. This role is client-facing, but prior experience in business development is not required. Interns must be able to commit to work a minimum of 20 hours a week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate and spar creatively with team members to solve intricate client challenges
- Contribute valuable research to project teams, supporting initiatives across a variety of industries
- Be able to articulate your research findings both in written and verbal form
- Assist in building best practices and learnings to improve upon our trademarked systems and processes
- Lead discussions and present on various topics to team members during meetings and various training opportunities
- Professionally represent yourself and NewEdge at any client-facing opportunity and be able to interact with senior leaders face-to-face
- Willingness to travel for onsite meetings at client locations and tour client facilities, adhering to their safety protocols and guidelines
- Internship positions are required to participate in-person/in-office for collaboration sessions. If you are hired as a remote or hybrid intern, you may be required to travel to Richland, WA twice during your internship to work with project teams
Required Skills and Abilities
- Working towards a bachelor's degree in a business administration or social science-related field (marketing, management, psychology, communication, etc.)
- Interest in qualitative research and working / collaborating in teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and detail-oriented skills, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all work
- Dependable and trustworthy, ensuring commitments are met and tight deadlines are adhered to
- Strong ability to both give and receive feedback, fostering open communication and continuous improvement
- Proactive in managing responsibilities and following through on projects without constant supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and MS Teams

- Position is in-person, and may be remote or hybrid with manager approval
- Position may require unassisted travel to client locations and may be for several days at a time
- Sitting, standing or walking for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds: lifting or carrying, raising or lowering, transporting, or holding objects
- Must be able to speak clearly, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word to impart oral information to clients and to convey detailed spoken instruction accurately, loudly, or quickly
- Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds
- Clarity of vision while working with small objects or reading small prints, and the ability to recognize features
- Reaching overhead; extending arms with hands higher than the head, bending elbows and the angle at the shoulders is about 90 degrees or more, or elbow extended and the angle at the shoulder is about 120 degrees or more
- Stooping, crouching, kneeling for long periods of time; able to bend the body forward and downward while bending the spine at the waist 45 degrees or more either over something below waist level or down toward an object or near the ground, and bending legs at the knees to come to rest on knee(s)
