Store Operations Internship

INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW:

Our internship program is a dynamic group of emerging, high potential rising university seniors who will have the opportunity to participate in a 10-week summer internship at the World’s Leading Fragrance Specialty Retailer. 

 This internship will provide the opportunity for a comprehensive view of the various functional areas within specialty retail. You will have the opportunity to work along-side and learn from BBW associates who will provide training, development and engagement of your function and our Brand.

PROGRAM AREA:

Store Operations

This internship will provide the opportunity for a comprehensive learning experience in our home office Store Operations function. Integrated in the program are opportunities to learn, research, and propose actionable, customer centric, findings to better support the business and drive growth within the brand

 

Responsibilities -

  • Validate offsite storage capacity, including PODs, in-mall and off-offsites
  • Evaluate and measure storage density for backroom items, including BOPIS orders, props, and supplies
  • Evaluate and enhance store resources to ensure they reflect the accurate storage capacities and are easily leverage by store associates
  • Assist in developing clear criteria for measuring the success of store capacity update efforts
  • Verify the accuracy of capacity data and ensure alignment with real-time store conditions
  • Solicit feedback from stores and assist in developing communication strategy that best supports store audiences (Both District Sales Leaders and Store Managers)
  • Daily operational tasks to support BOPIS, storage, and supply initiatives

Qualifications -

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data collection and analysis
  • Basic understanding of retail operations
  • Ability to organize and present data in a clear and concise manner
  • Demonstrated track record in new concept development and process improvement
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Experience (Preferred):

  • Understanding of measuring and tracking store layout and fixture designs is beneficial
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and tools as needed
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
